Skills like storm armor, magic weapon and familiar are great because they do both and add a bit of damage. Your damage is goodish, your toughness isn't. More wizard specific would be to use mostly passive abilities and focus on resource generation and defense early on. After the bounties you should be somewhere between level 16 and 20, depending on how good you are with massacre bonuses. Yes it's rng but I've only not gotten them once in all the time I've been doing it and even then I did get borns so I'd say it's time we'll invested. After do the 5 act 1 bounties once on hard for cain's. That should get you somewhere between level 8 and 10.
Not really wizard specific and some people disagree but get the cube at level 1 doing massacre bonus along the way.
